Katie Godden Green
Katie's work encompasses a full range of media from embroidery through illustration and painting with oils and acrylic to lino printing. Her metier, and therefore the foundation of her practice is drawing and her inspiration the Cornish countryside in which she lives as HOD in Art at St Joseph’s school Launceston.
Over the past 3 years Katie has developed a substantial collection of lino prints, both reduction and multi plate and she has illustrated and produced her own calendar and a range of digital and giclee prints and cards.
The essence of Katie's work stems from an ongoing sketchbook, which is testament to her desire to explore and develop the fusion of wildlife/botanical illustrations and rich abstract colour.
Katie is a full member of Double Elephant workshop in Exeter: She has participated in the last two years’ Open Studios Cornwall and is a member of Swanskin Printmakers. Katie has prints in various galleries across the South West and has been busy exhibiting with a group of makers called “Ingenious Pursuits” in the Bude area.
