Wendy Pettifor - Pohutukawa

The Pohutukawa products are handcrafted by me in my workroom in Lewannick.  I’m British but recently spent time living in New Zealand.  My business name is a reminder of my time there – the Pohutukawa tree has bright red flowers and is quite glorious at Christmas.

I have sewn since childhood but developed a new passion as a Wardrobe volunteer making outrageous Dame costumes for a London Charity Pantomime.  Moving to Cornwall means I can now spend time designing and creating lots of different new products.

I’m new to bagmaking but having a great time producing different styles using different fabrics.

I love using quality products like Harris Tweed and Liberty of London fabrics, and enjoy introducing new product ranges to my stand at Zebediah’s in Launceston.

So many ideas, so little time.
