The real world home of Araminta Greaves Fibreista is my Spinnery in the garden of Misty Cottage at the foot of Roughtor on the edge of Bodmin Moor in North Cornwall, which will soon be open for visitors. Here I have a wonderful time working with natural fibres through dyeing, spinning, weaving and felting. I draw inspiration from the heady mix of beautiful moorland, rugged Cornish coast and of course, my imagination. Much of the fibre I use is sourced locally, some from the fields surrounding the Spinnery.
Through Araminta Greaves Fibreista I am aiming to bring an exciting, funky, modern feel to traditional fibre arts and crafts not only through my own creations but also by producing beautiful hand dyed fibres and unique handspun yarns for other spinners, weavers, felters and knitters.
